Linden Cove is adjacent to the 3,000-acre Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve. This peaceful wilderness features glacial ridges, hilly terrain, and an extensive, lush forest. Activities abound in the park including walking trails, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, bird-watching, and more.
Fish, Kayak, Canoe
As day breaks, your fishing pole is primed and ready to catch a sunfish or bass from Hanrehan Lake. After lunch, hop into the kayak and enjoy a paddle around the 90-acre lake. You’ll appreciate every season of lake life at Linden Cove. You’ll never hear a noisy boat motor here!

With the exception of the trails, the park reserve remains undeveloped, making it the best park in Three Rivers for birdwatchers to spot woodland songbirds. This park has also been designated an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society.”

What are included in the amenities?
Our clubhouse is approximately 1,630 square feet of finished space and includes a large event room, kitchen, wrap-around patio, and HOA office/conference room. Inside, the clubhouse event room accommodates up to 60 people for sit-down, catered events or more than 100 people for a cocktail party. More than a half mile of groomed trails around our private lake shore exist for residents to stroll on private walks any time of day. And, we’ve built a small sandy beach complete with canoe and kayak rack storage. Two canoes are owned by the HOA for resident and guest use. The pickleball court features a unique sport court tile surface for easy maintenance, reduced noise and player comfort and safety.
Is Hanrehan Lake open to the public?
The 90-acre Hanrehan Lake is part of the Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve and is maintained by the Three Rivers Park District. The no-wake lake only permits the use of non-motorized watercraft or those with small electric motors. There are no public boat launch areas on the lake, which is surrounded by more than 2,500 acres of woodland.
What is the water quality of the lake? How is the fishing?
The water is clear and free of milfoil. Maximum depth has been measured at 11 feet. The Linden Cove HOA will add aeration bubblers near the shoreline to help minimize weed growth and improve year-round fish sustainability. Fish species include sunfish and bass.
